Which, by the way, the longer you put off, the more Karaoke bars I'm adding to the list. How long has it been since we inflicted our rendition of Under Pressure on a bar of unsuspecting patrons?

Inflicted is absolutely the right word. The last time we did that someone threw a beer bottle at us, remember?

I think, in this case, there's plenty of blame for both of them. Though this is definitely one reason why I avoid tequila. Or drinking in public in general.

Of course, then I wake up tied to my bed instead of a bar.

He's opening the door before Matt makes it the few doors down from the stairwell exit. The smile at who and what's coming is evident in his voice. "You're a prince among men, Matt."

You know promises like that are enough to get me packing up to call it a night. I'll save a few more pieces for MJ so he can explore when Lincoln brings him over in the morning.

[Michael clears his throat and puts on his sexiest russian accent. Which is a little slurred because he's kind of drunk now.]

That could be the whole point, or perhaps I would like to give you good distraction at work.

[Which doesn't matter in the slightest to Matt. What he's hearing is sexy as hell. For someone who associates quite a bit of sexuality with sound, the low rasp of Michael's voice is an immediate turn on.] A distraction like that, I might just have to head home early.

Personally I think we either have questionable taste or like to live dangerously.

Matt can hear the smile in his voice and it's enough to make him smile as he takes the stairs a little quicker. He knows where they are and how quickly he can move without startling anyone who passes by. "I'll remember that when you're cursing after I've landed on your toes yet again."

Of course, my exes are generally not trying to kill me, either.

Steph would say both. Foggy would probably also say both.

[He laughs softly at himself.]

"Hey, like I said: If that's coffee coming this way, you can break my legs for all I care." He's kidding. Mostly.

Sean opens the door wider for Matt. "You're way too cheerful to be up this early. Hell. So am I."

[And that would be most of his blood rushing south at the way Michael's voice changes. Matt lets out a low breath, biting at his lip.] You can pretty much read from the phone book like that and it'll guarantee I'm heading home.

"Well if I do that it means I get out of dancing, right?" A teasing smile in the direction of his familiar voice.

"What can I say, I guess I'm a morning person?" He starts unpacking breakfast once he locates the table.

They'd probably be right.

And it's just the one ex that tries to kill me now and then. Odd way of dealing with her emotions I guess?

He laughs, moving to help Matt with the treasures he brought over. "Nice try. I could probably carry you if I had to."

Creamer is retrieved from the fridge. "Seriously, though. I'm sorry about last night. There are reasons no one should ever tell me that Happy Hour is running a special on Patron." He sounds sheepish, Matt, and is thankful you brought coffee.

That's one way to deal with them, I suppose. At least Babs just snarks at me. And is more than willing to put me on my ass when we're sparring.

I didn't realize Russian would get you so hot.

[He clears his throat and switches to a soft, soothing and sophisticated sounding british accent.]
